Sara Rasmussen

Sara Rasmussen is a fifth generation Alaskan, born and raised in House District 22, where she is the current Representative. Her background is in real estate, and she currently owns a residential appraisal business. Sara was married to her husband Alex in 2014, and together they have two children under the age of six, Grayson and Charlotte. Sara began her political career as the secretary for the Sand Lake Community Council. In 2018 she was elected to the 31st Legislature and was re-elected to the 32nd Legislature in 2020. Representative Rasmussen has served on the House Resources, Transportation, Energy, Labor and Commerce, and Finance Committees. She enjoys focusing on children’s issues, energy and resource issues, election integrity, and other business policy.
